Po now feels down because he found purpose in eventually killing Leck, which Katsa has now done. Po is still able to use his Grace to sense the world around him. He seems to be feeling a bit better by the end of the book.

Like the rest of the Graceling Realm books, this is a stand alone book that takes place in the same universe. Readers can technically read the books in whichever order they prefer (though I do personally recommend reading them in ‘order’).
