What is 20mL syringe?
20 mL Syringes are general purpose Syringes without Needles manufactured by Becton Dickinson. BD 20 mL Syringes (20 cc Syringes) come in a choice of Luer-Lok® Tip or Slip Tip. These single-use syringes can be fitted with either conventional or safety needles. 20 mL Syringes are packaged in an easy-peel blister package.
How are syringes sizes?
The higher the gauge, the smaller the hole. Needles come in various gauges and lengths. The length of a needle is listed after the gauge number. For example, 25G ½ refers to a 25 gauge, ½ inch-long needle.
What is the diameter of a syringe needle?
Note: The ‘s’ on a 22s needle represents a smaller I.D. (inner diameter) for the needle and a thicker needle wall for better durability. For example, a 26 gauge needle has an O.D. (outer diameter) of 0.46 mm and an I.D. of 0.26 mm while the 26s gauge needle has an O.D. of 0.47 mm and an I.D. of 0.13 mm.
What is the surface area of a syringe?
Force required to pull the plunger of a conventional syringe or push the aspiration plunger of a mechanical syringe to a particular degree of vacuum was calculated by the measured vacuum (pressure) multiplied times the cross sectional surface area of the inner barrel of the syringe device (surface area = π r2), where r …
What are the smallest syringes?
The size of the barrel determines how much insulin a syringe holds, and the needle gauge determines the needle thickness….Size chart for common insulin syringes.

How long is a 10 mL syringe?
Syringe is 10ml. Needle is 4.5″ length, 1/16″ diameter, blunt tip.
How do you read a syringe needle size?
Needle Sizes
- The first number in front of the letter G indicates the gauge of the needle. The higher this number is, the thinner the needle.
- The second number indicates the length of the needle in inches.
What size is an oral syringe?
Oral Syringes are available in 4 sizes – 1, 3, 6 and 10 mL – in either clear or ultraviolet inhibitant amber.
What is the length of the needle?
Standard needles vary in length from 3/8 inch to 3-1/2 inch. The location of the administration determines the needle length required. Generally, the further the depth of the injection, the longer the needle. Intramuscular injections require extended needle lengths.
